Store and share files¶
PinkSalmon Cloud Services file services let you store, organise and share files in a secure workspace. They help colleagues exchange files and, depending on your instance configuration, share them with systems.
Access your workspace in a browser¶
File service addresses follow these patterns:
https://files-xx.pinksalmon.cloudhttps://files-xx.cesgenslab.cloud
Open the address you were given; xx identifies your instance.
The web interface uses PinkSalmon Cloud single sign-on (SSO). See the PinkSalmon Cloud authentication guide to sign in.
Visible workspaces and available actions depend on your account permissions. If an expected folder is missing, ask the workspace owner or your administrator to check your access.
Troubleshooting¶
| Problem | Checks |
|---|---|
| Unable to sign in | Check the instance address, then read the authentication guide. |
| File or folder missing | Check your account, the location and the permissions granted by the workspace owner. |
| Upload rejected or interrupted | Check your connection, write permissions, available space and any size limits. Before retrying, check whether the file has already been uploaded. |
| Share link inaccessible | Ask the owner to check its validity, restrictions and recipient permissions. |
| File accidentally deleted or replaced | Check whether a recycle bin or version history is available, then contact your administrator if needed. |
When requesting help, include the instance, the time of the problem, the action you performed and the error message. Do not share passwords, access tokens or confidential links.
Storage and retention¶
Quotas, retention periods, version history and recovery options depend on your service subscription and configuration. Confirm these details with your administrator before relying on the workspace for archiving or backups.
